The legal protection of well-known trademarks in Indonesia still faces various challenges, especially in overcoming passing off actions that can harm trademark owners and mislead consumers. The doctrine of likelihood of confusion becomes the main instrument in determining the extent to which the similarity of a brand can cause confusion among consumers. This research aims to analyze the implementation of legal protection of well-known trademarks from the act of passing off in Indonesia, focusing on the Golden Goose case. The research method used is doctrinal legal research with a statute approach and case approach. The data used is secondary data obtained through a literature study of legal regulations, court decisions, and relevant academic literature. The results show that although Indonesia has adopted the doctrine of likelihood of confusion in the Trademark Law, its application still faces various obstacles. The first to file system adopted in trademark registration opens up opportunities for parties with bad intentions to register trademarks that resemble well-known trademarks. This can be seen in the Golden Goose case, where another party registered a similar mark before the legal owner registered in Indonesia, triggering a legal dispute. The court eventually canceled the mark based on significant similarity and potential consumer confusion. This study confirms that it is necessary to strengthen the legal protection mechanism of famous marks, including increased supervision in trademark registration as well as strengthening regulations to prevent passing off.

This study aims to determine the effect of thin capitalization, capital intensity, and profitability on tax avoidance with institutional ownership as moderation. The population in this research consists of mining sector companies that were listed on the IDX during the 2019-2023 period. The sample in this study used purposive sampling method and obtained 20 companies. The research utilizes secondary data, analyzed using descriptive statistical methods and MRA. The findings reveal that thin capitalization does not influence tax avoidance, whereas capital intensity and profitability exhibit a significant positive impact on tax avoidance. Furthermore, institutional ownership is unable to moderate the relationship between thin capitalization and tax avoidance. However, institutional ownership effectively weakens the influence of capital intensity and profitability on tax avoidance. The lesson we can take is that companies need to manage capital intensity and profitability transparently to reduce the risk of tax avoidance and audit. Institutional ownership acts as an effective supervision that can weaken the impact of these two variables, so it needs to be improved in corporate governance.

Cannabis has been around since way before the Common Era. Since then, it's been used for all sorts of stuff, like making oil, fiber, and medicine. Cannabis has been on the list of illegal drugs since 1925, when it was put there at an international convention in Geneva. Cannabis is a hot topic right now because of the political and economic interests around legalizing it around the world. Numerous studies have demonstrated that cannabis is not a substance devoid of any benefits, particularly in the field of healthcare. In line with this, many pharmaceutical industries are now beginning to view cannabis as a commodity with significant market value. As a result, many countries, such as the United States, have deregulated their cannabis laws for economic purposes.

In order to improve the development of Islamic businesses, business actors are advised to improve their understanding of sharia principles, develop innovative products that meet market needs, and implement ethical marketing strategies. The government needs to take supportive policies, such as issuing regulations that facilitate the development of Islamic businesses, providing education and training programs for business actors, and facilitating access to financing through financial institutions that offer Islamic products. For future research, it is recommended to conduct case studies on successful sharia business actors, analyze the impact of government policies on the growth of this industry, and conduct comparisons with other countries that have more advanced sharia industries to gain insights and best practices that can be applied.

This community service program was carried out with the primary objective of improving the institutional capacity of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in Kedaton Village, Kedaton Peninjauan Raya District, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency. The focus of the activity was training and mentoring in the preparation of legally based Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), in order to strengthen village business governance in a participatory and sustainable manner. The method used was a participatory approach, involving village officials and the local community in every stage of the activity, from identifying institutional problems, preparing SOP documents, to evaluation and follow-up. This activity was carried out through workshops, focus group discussions, and technical mentoring, so that participants not only received theoretical material but also actively participated in preparing and implementing SOPs relevant to the needs of the BUMDes. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in legal awareness among BUMDes managers and the village community. In addition, a new institution was formed in the form of a Village SOP Team that plays a driving role in the process of preparing and supervising the implementation of SOPs. Local leaders who have a concern for business governance and village community empowerment also emerged. The development of SOPs not only strengthens the administrative aspects of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) but also encourages social transformation. Communities become more involved in decision-making and develop a sense of ownership of village businesses. These findings indicate that integrating a legal approach into community empowerment practices can be an effective strategy for increasing accountability, transparency, and the future sustainability of village businesses.

Abstrak:
This study aims to examine the effect of using educational video-based multimedia on the English vocabulary mastery of seventh-grade students at SMPN 52 North Bengkulu in the 2024/2025 academic year. This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The sample consisted of two classes: the experimental class received instruction using educational videos, while the control class was taught using traditional methods without multimedia support. Prior to the treatment, both groups were given a pre-test to measure their initial vocabulary ability. After the intervention, a post-test was conducted to assess the students’ vocabulary improvement. The data analysis revealed a significant increase in the post-test scores of the experimental group compared to the control group. This indicates that the use of video-based multimedia effectively enhances students’ vocabulary comprehension and retention. Additionally, video media improved students’ learning motivation and engagement during the instructional process. These findings recommend the integration of multimedia as an innovative strategy in English language teaching, particularly in vocabulary instruction, to create a more engaging, interactive, and contextual learning experience.

Abstrak:
The coffee shop industry in Indonesia is experiencing rapid growth, including D'Kopikap as one of the businesses facing challenges in managing production and inventory. The main difficulty lies in the uncertainty in predicting the number of sales, which is influenced by various factors such as the type of day (weekdays, weekends, holidays, and promo days) and the time of sale. To overcome this problem, a sales prediction system using multiple linear regression algorithm was developed. System development is carried out using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) approach to accelerate the design and implementation process. The data used in this research is divided into two parts, namely training and test data of 80:20. The results showed that the sales prediction system created was able to provide sales forecasts that could be used to assist production planning and inventory management. Evaluation of the model shows the Root Mean Squared Error (RMSE) value of 22.48, Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) of 37.18%, and Coefficient of Determination (R²) of 72.26%. These results indicate that the model has good enough predictive ability to be used in operational activities. This research is expected to be the basis for the development of a better sales prediction system in the future.

Abstrak:
The performance evaluation of student organizations (Ormawa) at Politeknik Negeri Bengkalis is an essential part of the end-of-term management assessment, serving as a form of accountability and a basis for future development. The manual process used so far often takes considerable time and is prone to errors. To address this issue, a web-based decision support system was developed using the Multi-Factor Evaluation Process (MFEP) method, which applies a weighting system in the decision-making process. The system was developed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) approach, enabling a fast and efficient development process through a linear and sequential methodology. The implementation of the MFEP method in the system achieved an accuracy rate of 88.88%, based on a comparison between field data and system processing results.
